What Do YOU Want To See In Our Products?
So I can’t tell you how excited I am to go to my first Drupalcon as Community Manager of Phase2! While I attended both Drupalcon DC and Drupalcon San Francisco, I know Drupalcon Denver will give me the opportunity to meet more members of the community and to talk to you about your experience with our products.
Your #1 Question About Products: Answered!
It's inevitable. Sure as the Druplicon is blue, my job as Community Manager means that I'll be fielding this question almost daily: "So...when can we expect the next release of Open___?"
Envisioning an Open Source Product Marketplace: Could it Work?
What I've learned in 18 months of Drupal product management is this: monetization in open source communities is prickly. Monetization of products in Drupal is scary -- done right, it could build a vibrant economy around the open source software we know and love, making it stronger while people make a living. Done wrong, and it could alienate the community, deprecate innovation, and ultimately harm the open source project.

Who is the Community?

Content Administrator

A content administrator understands how to add and edit content in Drupal using the administration menu

Site Builder

A site builder commonly focuses on tasks such as setting up user accounts, adjusting roles and permissions, installing and configuring modules, and creating and editing views, taxonomies, and menus.

Developer

A developer's role in the community is to help create and improve modules and other innovative features and functionality to be used across the open source community.
